St.Maarten

St.Maarten is a destination of variety, which makes it my favourite island in the Caribbean. This is not just a cruise stop kind of place, it's full of experiences, delicious dining, excursions, nightlife, casinos, entertainment and amazing shopping malls and markets.

The European flair of the Dutch and French sides of the island make this vacation a great experience. Sonesta offers an affordable "All Inclusive" availability but it is really not needed since there are a great resturants, places to explore and lots of other attractions across the island. I highly recomend it!

Varadero, Cuba

One of my favorite destinations is Varadero. They have one of the finest beaches in the entire Caribbean. Although large resort hotels now line the shore, the beaches are so expansive that they will very seldom be crowded. I have always felt very safe taking my family there.

The staff at the hotels are very friendly, the accommodations are great and the activities plentyful. The food is great for my young children too. The Seafood you can find at the restaurants off the properties are well worth it. Cubans love music and there are always local groups who perform live outside the confines of the hotel strip. It is definitely an island you can explore and be safe while mingling with the locals.

Royal Caribbean's "Oasis of the Seas"

The Oasis of the Seas is the world's largest cruise ship, and since cruising is my favorite way to travel, this cruise ship is a must! This Royal Caribbean ship features different types of eateries that range anywhere from spa cuisine to elaborately staged food and wine pairings. Its entertainment district offers ice skating and disco, comedy and jazz, and a three-tiered theater that features a host of Broadway shows. Particularly dazzling is the ship's AquaTheater, with its deepest-pool-at-sea, which serves as a platform for performers such as divers and synchronized swimmers.

This is a floating-city that has revolutionized cruising!
